The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for the preparation of the tax provision and tax footnote processes for quarterly and annual financial statements. This team member works with numerous people in various internal departments, outside consultants, and tax authorities. Preparation of quarterly tax provision and tax footnotes in accordance with ASC 740. Prepare or review monthly tax account reconciliations. Prepare tax forecasts working with FP&A personnel. Prepare or review monthly and quarterly tax journal entries. Prepare interim tax provision and effective tax rate workbooks. Assist in gathering and organizing documentation requested by external/internal parties. Coordinate agendas for quarterly/monthly calls. Maintain quarterly tax calendar and manage monthly and quarterly tax firm issuances. Assist in drafting quarterly tax memorandums and technical documentation. Assist with quarterly international inclusion calculations. Assist with quarterly international provision and international compliance. Assist in internal audits and with GM Financial’s outside financial statement auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Contribute to process enhancements and automation initiatives within the tax function. Qualifications
4-6 years of accounting experience; 4-6 years of progressive income tax experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of tax accounting issues and corporate accounting functions. Knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision, Income Tax, and UTP; ERP systems; Oracle preferred. Experience with OneSource software preferred. What We Offer
