Responsibilities
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. Key responsibilities include: Make eye contact, smile, greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner; treat fellow Associates with respect. Follow company best practice standards and maintain a clean work area; ensure proper merchandise presentation. Engage in assigned tasks during all working hours and perform a range of functions across store areas as business needs require. May be assigned additional tasks to help achieve customer service and operational goals. Support safety as the number one priority; maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and report any unsafe conditions. Assist customers—register-trained, help with merchandise, answer questions politely and knowledgeably; greet customers throughout the store and thank them at checkout. Respond promptly to customer service calls and escalate to Store Leadership when needed. Represent and support the Company brand at all times; safeguard confidential information and merchandise. Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain cleanliness and readiness in all areas. Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code; manage loss prevention awareness and policy adherence as applicable. Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandise per monthly presentation guidelines, and maintain brand familiarity within departments. Follow MOS policies, cash handling procedures, and uphold accuracy with transactions and refunds. Demonstrate urgency to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications and Skills
Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push/pull and lift more than 25 pounds. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies. Stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $16.50 - $17.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, seniority, and location. This range is one component of total compensation; other rewards vary by position and location.
