Overview
The Impact You\'ll Make Are you a tenacious sales hunter who enjoys prospecting, selling and account management? Do you excel at relationship-building and devising creative solutions? Danfoss, a global leader in Climate Solutions, is looking for an Account Manager to join our Industrial Refrigeration team — someone with a growth mindset and a keen focus on winning. In this role, you will grow the sales of Industrial Refrigeration products and solutions in accordance with the growth-based yearly budget. You will develop and strengthen relationships, and design and drive account plans with leading OEMs, contactors and consultants, including activities that can be effectively executed by a rep network when applicable. You will collaborate with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to drive sustainable long-term growth. To be successful, you will provide a high-level overview of technology and applications for our Industrial Refrigeration product lines and related products while engaging and establishing relationships with influential contacts at key end users to pull in contractor business. CO2 or Ammonia based system design is an asset. This is a remote position for someone in the United States or Canada; relocation will not be considered for this role. What You’ll Be Doing
Proactively seek and assess opportunities with OEM and contractors in the region. Document opportunities in CRM platforms, design and drive account plans, and formalize initiatives executed directly or by a rep organization where applicable. Develop follow-up activities to ensure the success of account plans. High knowledge of refrigeration systems to provide quotations of Danfoss industrial refrigeration portfolio for ammonia and CO2 applications. Prepare valve take-off schedules, sizing valves and components and/or provide competitive solutions. Highly competent negotiations coupled with value selling skills to secure business opportunities. Inquire with end users regarding upcoming expansions or new facilities. Take an ownership role in conflict resolution to ensure customer satisfaction. Support the regional consulting engineer, contractor, or end-user for projects that are purchased out of the region. Provide necessary technical training to installers and other training for OEMs and decision-makers to see the value in Danfoss. Actively participate in local Industry Associations and volunteer for positions that will increase the visibility of Danfoss. Travel up to 50%. What We\'re Looking For
BA or BS equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferable) with a business-oriented mindset. Minimum three years of industry-related experience in a sales or supporting sales position in industrial refrigeration. Knowledge of System Controls and Power is a strong plus. Must possess an in-depth knowledge of the Industrial Refrigeration market, including products, major customers, competitors, and equipment suppliers. Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP preferred. Business acumen: Ability to quickly assess and understand the specific customer\'s challenges and future needs. Teamwork with internal and external parties such as rep networks. Ability to write reports and effectively present information to internal and external stakeholders. Driving for results. Solid organization skills, ability to prioritize. Professional, tenacious, and strong, convincing communication skills. Self-motivated and able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: The base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000, with additional annual bonus target and a car allowance. Actual salaries vary by location, experience, and performance. This position includes an annual bonus target and a car allowance.
