Own the lifecycle of complex structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Picture your day: you open with a deep dive into drawings and specifications, translating them into buildable scopes and competitive numbers. By midday, you’re negotiating with fabricators and suppliers to lock in pricing and availability. In the afternoon, you’re on-site, aligning the field team, reinforcing safety practices, and making real-time calls on schedule and cost. You close the day rebalancing budgets and timelines, communicating updates to clients and partners so everyone moves forward together. As the primary liaison among our company, our clients, and construction teams, you set the tone for collaboration and clarity. You will champion a safety-first mindset while exercising the authority to make critical decisions on cost, schedule, and field operations to keep work on track and to standard. Responsibilities
Estimating: Develop accurate, competitive estimates for structural steel scopes. Estimating: Evaluate drawings, specifications, and related documents to build comprehensive bids. Estimating: Detail material, labor, and equipment costs with precision. Estimating: Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to validate pricing and confirm material availability. Estimating: Implement efficient procedures that drive timely buyout, shop drawing approvals, and on-schedule material deliveries. Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute structural steel construction activities end-to-end. Project Management: Deliver projects on time, on budget, and at the required quality. Project Management: Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction partners to meet specifications. Project Management: Track progress, forecast impacts, and adjust plans to protect the schedule and cost. Project Management: Conduct routine site visits to verify safety compliance and adherence to requirements. Field Leadership: Provide hands-on supervision and direction on active job sites. Field Leadership: Diagnose and resolve issues that arise during installation and erection. Field Leadership: Ensure all work satisfies applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. Field Leadership: Coach and mentor junior team members and field crews to elevate performance. Field Leadership: Capture detailed daily reports documenting activities, progress, and challenges. Requirements
Proven experience managing structural and miscellaneous steel projects from inception through closeout. Strong background in estimating and field operations within the structural steel industry. Exceptional analytical skills and deep knowledge of construction processes. Core Proficiencies
