As an Outside Sales Representative (Washington & Oregon), you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing accounts, and driving revenue growth through consultative sales strategies. This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with experience in the building materials or construction industry, particularly with architectural glass, glazing, or façade systems, preferred but not required. Responsibilities
Manage and grow a sales territory covering Washington and Oregon with a focus on the Western Washington and Western Oregon market region. Develop and maintain strong relationships with glaziers, general contractors, architects, and other key decision-makers. Identify new business opportunities, build pipelines, and meet or exceed revenue targets. Present Vitrum’s products, capabilities, and services in a consultative, solution-oriented manner. Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and project pipelines to proactively position Vitrum as a preferred partner. Regularly travel within the territory (Washington and Oregon), with periodic trips to company facilities or client project sites. Convert the company’s capabilities into a value proposition for prospective customers. Collaborate with all departments to ensure client expectations are met and value is provided. Participate in local industry trade shows and events to network with architects, designers, and end-users and generate sales opportunities. Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for reporting, maintaining, and expanding the customer base; enter projects and manage timelines and relevant data as requested. Qualifications
Proven success in outside sales, preferably within architectural glass, glazing, building materials, or related industries. Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and project stakeholders. Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer value drivers. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage time effectively in a regional role. Based in or willing to relocate to the Western Washington area. Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and project tracking software. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory of Washington and Oregon. Ability to travel across the US/Canada border and regionally as needed.
