The Student Account Analyst is responsible for auditing, processing, and monitoring these essential functions: Withdrawal calculations Review of graduate student accounts for accuracy, compliance and closure to the account Review of credit balances for inactive student accounts to bring them to a 0 balance Job Description
All inactive student accounts are audited and reviewed to determine if an R2T4 calculation is required based on Federal Regulations. If an R2T4 calculation is required the Student Account Analyst will complete the calculation and process any required refunds within the timelines required to remain in compliance. All students who have graduated are audited and reviewed to ensure student account is accurate, verify eligibility of funds and process any required refunds to meet Federal Regulations. All inactive student accounts are audited and reviewed to ensure all credit balances are cleared within the timelines required by the Federal Regulations. Collaborate with the campuses and other departments to resolve outstanding issues. Provide support to the campuses with their questions and issues in reference to the withdrawal calculation and refund process. Address and discuss all regulatory compliance issues discovered in the daily functions with the Student Account Manager. Review VA documents in Schooldocs and communicate with Certifying Officials, RPO and Military Affairs team if proper documentation is missing or corrections are needed. Open VA mail, stamp them, log them in the VA master spreadsheet, scan the letter in Schooldoc. Assistant VA Specialist Position Qualifications
Requirements: Associates Degree and/or at least 2 years of finance, accounting or business experience. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Skills and Knowledge: Financial Aid Experience helpful Computer Skills: Microsoft Office experience - proficient in Excel and spreadsheets Detail oriented Self-Motivated Hours
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Occasional overtime required with management approval Occasional Saturdays during audit and special projects Seniority level
