The role of a Constructability Detailer is integral to ensuring the accuracy and constructability of project designs before they reach the field. This position requires proficiency in various software applications, a deep understanding of departmental processes, and adherence to redlining protocols and CEI Installation Standards. The Detailer reviews constructability SOW checklists, populates and updates the Redline Drawing log, reviews specifications and submittals, schedules and participates in weekly issue log meetings, and assists with RFIs. The role also involves maintaining document control, ensuring compliance with installation standards, addressing bulletin updates and added scope, and effective communication with project management, field operations, BIM, and other departments to execute these tasks successfully. Responsibilities
Proficient in software such as Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Understand departmental processes, redlining protocols, document management, and CEI Installation Standards. Review specifications and submittals; document issues in the Issues Log for project team follow-up. Assist the project management team with RFIs, including verbiage and supporting documents. Review contract drawings, generate redlines, details, prefab drawings, and assembly sheets according to redlining protocols; document issues in the Issues Log. Distribute redlines and related drawings, notifying the project team where saved. Update the Redline Drawing log as redlines, details, prefab drawings, and assembly sheets are generated and as revisions are issued. Populate conduit schedules. If BIM is required, assist with BIM Specification Sheet and Installation Drawing Checklist; attend BIM coordination meetings; follow up after redlines distribution; address model constructability issues; review all Installation Drawings from the model. Enter weekly time in JDE and save timecards in designated folders. Maintain clear communication with the project team; act as a mediator between engineering, project management, field operations, BIM, and Prefab departments when needed. Maintain document control by following folder structures and naming conventions. Ensure CEI Installation Standards are followed and provide standardization guidance as needed. Address bulletin updates and added scope, including obtaining project management approval for rework, requesting new cost codes if applicable, updating project folders and BIM Hub, and providing ROM if requested. Coordinate with BIM as applicable and update redlines and other constructability deliverables impacted by added scope. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities, and possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Licensure/Certifications:
Valid Electrical License or Certificate. Experience:
