Berenberg Capital Markets is looking to hire an ambitious and energetic Boston-based junior equity salesperson to continue to build on the team’s success. This role would suit someone seeking early responsibility, and who is looking to build their career at a firm that is wholly committed to its growth and success across North America.
The role would suit somebody at or near the start of their career, a recent graduate or someone who has experience in financial sales before but is keen to become a specialist in Equity Sales. The role will provide fantastic exposure to senior members of the team, well-versed in developing juniors, giving them significant business exposure, and offering them a steep and exciting career trajectory.
Responsibilities:
Help to support and advise institutional clients (e.g. insurance firms, investment companies, banks) on the basis of our research products and distribution capabilities, with a focus on clients based in Boston and Canada
Support members of the team in the marketing and sales of the European and US equity research product
Creation and development of investment ideas for investors in the Boston area and beyond
Organization of investor meetings for IPOs and other capital market transactions in North America
Organize and attend corporate and analyst roadshows
Become an integral member of our Boston Sales team and, over time, take responsibility for the day-to-day servicing of your own book of clients
Qualifications:
Internship or trainee experience within an investment bank, investment, or securities firm
Passion for all things Equities, and a natural flare for a Sales-oriented role
Ambitious and motivated individual looking for significant exposure and responsibility with highly valued clients of the firm, looking to push their career to the next level
Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) required, with exceptional academics, preferably with a financial focus
Enthusiasm and interest in securities and capital markets, with a particular focus on Equities and a passion for building their career within Equity Sales
Must understand how to focus and prioritize client needs and requirements as the work is fast-paced and busy
Able to deliver a consistently high standard of work, and handle their workload effectively in order to meet strict deadlines
Flexible, adaptable, and strong at building relationships
An entrepreneurial mindset and goal-oriented approach are important to succeed
Must possess excellent communication skills, love to work in a team and a hunger to succeed

Salary will vary based on role, education, level of experience, and expertise ranging between $80,000 and $115,000 dollars as a base salary with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus plus comprehensive benefits package.
