The outside sales representative is responsible for all customer sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. The sales representative works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, profitable revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following: - **Sales Goals and Objectives** - Meet or exceed sales goals for the assigned territory. - Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to set clear objectives. - Profitably grow the territory. - Achieve or surpass sales and gross margin quotas for both warehouse and mill direct sales. - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of each step in the sales process: 1. **Focus**: Understand the territory and its segments, prioritizing your schedule accordingly. 2. **Prepare**: Identify opportunities and develop proactive call plans. 3. **Explore**: Gain an in-depth understanding of the customer and their business to identify their needs and opportunities. 4. **Educate**: Connect WG capabilities to customer needs to present effective solutions. 5. **Agree**: Present compelling proposals and secure customer commitments. 6. **Satisfy**: Manage transitions, engage relevant business functions, and follow through to exceed customer expectations. 7. **Grow**: Expand relationships, identify new opportunities, and continually provide value to WG partners. **Management of Partner Accounts** - Focus on retaining partner accounts by taking ownership of all account activities and the customer experience. - Continue to deepen relationships and add value for partner accounts. - Attend events and trade shows as necessary. Exhibit a thorough understanding of the business, both internally and externally. Includes daily collaboration with and coaching of inside sales partners Effectively communicates the needs of customers to necessary departments including operations, transportation, and marketing. Effectively organize and prioritize work Selects appropriate targets Focuses on targets Takes necessary time to prepare, developing professional agendas for sales calls Behaviors / Abilities: Customer centric Leadership Sense of urgency Competitive drive Attention to detail Problem Solving Professionalism Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field is preferred with three to five years of sales related experience and/or training. Other Skills and Abilities: The sales representative must have a competitive attitude and desire to succeed in a competitive environment. Employee should have above average skills in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. They should have the ability to prioritize daily workflow, multi task and meet deadlines. They should have accuracy, discretion, excellent communication skills both oral and written, and attention to detail a must. Employee must have time management skills, be self-motivated and aggressive, be able to build relationships via telephone, and maintain a positive attitude at all times. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Position requires significant travel with overnight stay. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license. Physical Demands:
