The Aroostook County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a full-time long term Acting Capacity Assistant District Attorney. The Assistant District Attorney will be primarily responsible for criminal prosecution for both adults and juveniles in the Unified Criminal Docket in Aroostook County as well as appellate cases before the Law Court. Candidates should have a strong desire for a career in litigation and prosecution with trial experience and developed trial skills a plus. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and inter-personal skills, good organizational/time management skills, and good writing skills are essential.

Applicants must be members of the Maine Bar in good standing

Have an eye for legal detail

Be interested in complex state and federal regulations

Have strong legal advocacy and writing skills

Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team
