Attorney needed to join the staff of nonprofit civil legal firm. Entry Level and Mid-Level attorneys with NYS Bar certification are needed for Attorney positions. Work on challenging and innovative legal issues that require strategic and creative thinking, for a nonprofit that cares about improving quality of life for its clients. Duties of Position Include:
Intake and individual case work, litigation in state and federal court, including appellate practice, and education and outreach efforts directed at community members. You’ll be responsible for working directly with clients in the community, negotiating and drafting agreements, advising clients on legal issues, and representing them in court. Some of these positions offer hybrid work style and all of these positions offer excellent quality of life and fabulous benefits. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and work on cutting-edge legal issues that impact people in their daily lives. The Attorney will work on General Practice matters with an emphasis on litigation, appeals, housing, foreclosure, equal justice, and/or family law.
