Join Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as a Full-Time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor, onsite in Hampton, VA. CSAC holder or CSAC-eligible candidates are welcome. The role supports individuals with substance use disorders in outpatient settings, local jails, or the Newport News Drug Court programs. Pay and Schedule

Base pay range: $48,317.00/yr - $54,371.00/yr Annual Salary: $48,317 (CSAC Eligible or CSAC Supervisee); $54,371 (With CSAC) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Responsibilities

Manage a predetermined caseload within an outpatient setting, local jails, or the Newport News Drug Court programs. Conduct intake assessments, diagnose conditions, craft treatment plans, and maintain records. Provide individual, group, and family counseling; conduct educational sessions and discharge/aftercare planning. Engage in crisis intervention and case management; liaise between the criminal justice system and treatment agencies. Conduct regular counseling sessions; develop treatment and discharge plans; complete progress notes. Participate in Drug Court sessions with clients to support rehabilitation. Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services. Minimum of one year of experience in a substance use disorder and/or correctional setting. Virginia licensed CSAC preferred. Valid Virginia driver's license. Proficiency with case management/documentation software. Skills in crisis intervention, individual and group counseling; strong communication. CPR and First Aid certification. Additional Information
