The Case Management Employment Coach serves as a member of the Programs team at It Takes A Village Family of Schools (ITAV). The Coach works with youth ages 16–24 to support their success in pursuing career pathways in Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, IT, and Solar Energy. This position combines case management, career coaching, and holistic support to ensure that participants achieve their educational, personal, and professional goals. The Coach manages an assigned caseload, provides individualized support, and works collaboratively with program staff, employer partners, and community organizations. The Coach plays a critical role in helping participants overcome barriers to success, gain industry-recognized credentials, and transition into employment or higher education. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Recruit and enroll eligible youth into IYIP career pathway programs. Conduct orientation sessions and ensure youth complete assessments and Individual Service Plans. Develop and maintain supportive relationships with youth participants through regular check-ins, site visits, and coaching sessions. Help participants identify personal and professional goals; create and monitor Individual Service Plans. Administer Casey Life Skills Assessments and use results to inform individualized career and life readiness planning. Provide career exploration, readiness training, and coaching tailored to Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, IT, and Solar. Connect youth to wraparound services (healthcare, housing, childcare, transportation, mental health, financial literacy, etc.). Refer participants to supportive community-based organizations and monitor referrals. Implement strategies to reduce absenteeism and increase retention. Support participants in pre-apprenticeships, internships, and apprenticeships. Document participant progress and upload required reports in Illinois WorkNet. Collaborate with partners to ensure quality worksite placements. Facilitate or support workshops on employability skills, leadership development, and career readiness. Encourage participation in program activities and gather participant feedback. Maintain accurate records in Illinois WorkNet. Complete case plans, service notes, and required reports in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with IYIP and agency requirements. Participate in training related to trauma-informed care, cultural competency, workforce development, and sector-specific skills (ECE, IT, Solar, Youth Development). $42,000 Required Education And Experience
Demonstrated experience and competency using Illinois WorkNet for participant enrollment, case management, and reporting. Experience with Casey Life Skills Assessments preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Knowledge of one or more career pathways (Early Childhood, Youth Development, IT, or Solar) preferred. Must be able to travel within the community Experience working with at-risk and marginalized populations. Demonstrated physical capability to climb stairs, walk, stand, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the workday as required Skills/Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Workforce Development, or a related field. Minimum of two years’ experience in youth development, workforce readiness, case management, or employment coaching. Who Are You
