Manager, CPS &O - Sports & Live
Netflix's Content Programming Strategy & Operations (CPS&O) team is looking for a Manager to join its team in its Los Angeles office, supporting the Live Sports (e.g., NFL Christmas Gameday, 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, WWE) and Sports non-fiction team (e.g., Drive to Survive, Quarterback). The CPS&O team reports into the Chief Content Officer, with this role reporting to the Director, CPS&O - Sports & Live.
The CPS &O team informs content decisions and drives content operations to deliver the most thrilling content offering and value to our members. We do this by:
Optimizing our slate, programming, and investments from pitch to play
Leading cross-functional coordination and driving solutions for operational challenges
Providing an informed perspective on future business development opportunities.
We partner closely with our Content, Finance, Business Affairs, Data Science, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead deal analysis to support content negotiations from deal pitch/sourcing through renewal
Spearhead special projects for senior Netflix leaders and develop recommendations on key programming and operational issues, particularly in new business development areas
Scope, launch, and lead cross-functional working teams and workflows in relation to evaluating or operationalizing live sports-related projects
Lead performance analysis of launched titles and deals, including audience deep dives and data analysis, for renewal decisions
Monitor portfolio-level performance and provide recommendations on content investment priorities
Provide strategic support on programming, both on an individual title basis and across the entire content slate
Develop deep understanding of industry trends, competitor slates, and whitespace programming opportunities
Provide mentorship, thought partnership, and guidance to junior executives
Partner closely with Content, Finance, Business Affairs, Data Science, Product, and other cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
7-10+ years of relevant work experience, MBA preferred
Deep passion for sports, broader sports rights marketplace, and sports-related storytelling within the non-fiction space
Experience in entertainment, investment banking, management consulting, or media-focused technology roles; prior experience in sports is a plus but not required
Experience conducting quantitative (including modeling) and qualitative analysis; ability to derive insights and results using data
Experience in content acquisition, licensing deal analysis, or direct commercial deal-making a plus
Project management and operational experience related to leading cross-functional teams is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of presenting complex analysis clearly and concisely to executives and senior management
Strong initiative and ability to work independently, thriving in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Highly curious, courageous to challenge the status quo, and committed to high personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Google productivity tools is a plus

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000, with a structure based solely on an annual salary. You can choose how much of your compensation to receive as salary versus stock options.
