Digital Communications Engineer V- TDMA/FPGA Join Lockheed Martin Space on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program, a project focused on providing credible strategic defense and mission-critical capabilities. This role contributes to the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art tactical avionics system for FBM and supports global security objectives. The preferred location is near Lockheed Martin Space facilities in Englewood, CO or Littleton, CO, and the position does not support teleworking. For over 60 years, the FBM team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense, offering unique opportunities and challenges on a program with a rich history and a dynamic future. The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and requires your expertise to deliver advanced technologies while maintaining the program’s technical requirements. Key responsibilities

Support technical reviews and present to internal and external stakeholders. Design architecture of the missile network and implement safety provisions around sensitive electronics and/or ordnance. Decompose network requirements into actionable tasks and develop technology maturation roadmaps. Work with low SWaP, radiation-hardened, space-rated devices. Perform cable characterization and physical medium characterization for high-bandwidth data transmission. Evaluate proprietary, non-standard network solutions. Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/education. Experience in full program life-cycle of aerospace hardware development. Experience leading technical teams and interacting with peers, management and government customers. Experience in presentations and written communication skills. Missile design experience. Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. To be effective in this role, ability to decompose all aspects of network development (physical layer hardware, software, FPGA/ASIC development, and cabling) to create discrete tasks and provide a vision for the integrated team to follow. Desired skills

Experience with strategic radiation-hardened or space-rated design. Experience generating and decomposing network requirements in relation to a system architecture. Experience with radiation testing for network-related devices (cables, physicals, etc.). Experience with system noise characterization testing for network-related devices. Experience designing for safety around sensitive electronics and/or ordnance. Basic qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/education. Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; the role requires this clearance. Employment details

The annual base salary range for this position in certain states is $122,900 - $216,660 (with variations by location). Pay ranges reflect location and are subject to factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, and market conditions. Some regions note additional PTO and holiday details. This position may be eligible for incentive pay. Premium Pay Statement:

The annual base salary range for this position in many major metropolitan areas is $141,300 - $244,835, with location-based adjustments. Benefits are the same as listed above. EEO
