Overview
Job Description:
Responsible for providing roadway and drainage engineering support for assigned engineering projects. Develop route studies and conceptual designs in accordance with TXDOT Roadway Standards, AASHTO and MUTCD; design horizontal and vertical alignments and roadway geometry/layouts; design sidewalks and ramps in accordance with ADA guidelines; develop typical sections and cross section sheets, erosion and sedimentation control plans, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, right-of-way analyses and construction cost impacts; develop quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates; design stormwater systems and develop hydraulic models. Coordinate and manage project deliverables; track and report on project progress; assist in developing schedules to meet project deadlines. Duties require extensive utilization of MicroStation, Geopack Drainage and CAD software. Requires approximately 5% travel time to project sites in Texas. Responsibilities
