We\'re seeking a
Senior Data Engineer
to join a high-impact Data & Analytics team. In this role, you\'ll help build and scale a behavioral and Ecommerce data platform, enabling trusted analytics and AI-ready data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Synapse
Model complex event-level datasets (digital behavior, Ecommerce, marketing interactions)
Ensure data governance and discoverability using Unity Catalog and Alation
Validate pipelines against established behavioral datasets
Collaborate with architects, analysts, data scientists, and business teams
Optimize data ingestion, orchestration, and curation using Delta Lake and Databricks Workflows
Support semantic models and data marts for AI/BI dashboards and Power BI
Participate in agile processes (sprint planning, backlog refinement, documentation)
Document data assets and pipelines for transparency and maintainability
Facilitate communication between business and engineering teams
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
Hands-on experience delivering cloud-based data solutions
Strong expertise in Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Spark
Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and optimization
Experience with modern data architectures (Lakehouse, ELT/ETL, real-time processing)
Proven ability to model and manage large-scale behavioral and Ecommerce datasets
Familiarity with Unity Catalog and data cataloging tools (e.g., Alation)
Working knowledge of behavioral analytics platforms
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Experience in agile delivery environments
Demonstrated leadership as a technical lead
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
