Belcan is seeking a CNC Programmer for a role in Thomaston, CT. The position involves developing and supporting CNC programs for five- axis machining, along with model interpretation and process documentation. This is a manufacturing engineering/production-focused role with emphasis on program optimization, first-run support, and process improvement. Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs in Esprit. Import and interpret models/drawings in SolidWorks. Program and prove out prototype parts, supporting new product introduction. Create setup documentation, tooling plans, and process sheets. Support machinists during first runs and resolve programming/machining issues. Optimize cutting parameters to improve cycle times, tool life, and quality. Ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with GD&T and quality standards. Vertical and Horizontal Machining capabilities required. Qualifications
Must be U.S. Citizen due to government contract High School Degree Experience with inspection and metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators 5 years expert programming experience of 5 Axis Machining Centers using CAD CAM software Esprit required Expert user of CAD and 3D Modeling software - SolidWorks experience preferred CNC Programming certification is preferred, not required Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Experience with both Vertical and Horizontal Machining If you are interested in this CNC Programmer job in Thomaston, CT, please apply via the 'apply now' link provided.
