Who We Are Ongoing threats to national security require timely intelligence data, including signal intelligence obtained through electronic surveillance. Since the 1940s, SwRI has supported U.S. and friendly foreign governments, as well as commercial clients.
Objectives Of This Role
Responsible for handling centralized network management.
Administer DNS/DHCP and wireless network systems.
Cross-train into other network disciplines.
Daily And Monthly Responsibilities
Configuration of routing and switching on network equipment from various manufacturers (Cisco, Extreme Networks).
Configuration of DNS/DHCP and wireless network systems.
Documentation of network through drawings, formal documentation and change control process.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related degree field with relevant experience. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 10 years directly related professional level network administrator experience with a minimum of Cisco Certified Network Professional.
Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate or higher.
3 years: Enterprise network routing and switching
1 year: DNS/DHCP server administration
Experience with Cisco or Extreme Network switches. Bluecat DNS/DHCP or ExtraHop strongly desired. Experience with Fabric network design a plus.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
