Overview
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our Client’s team.
Responsibilities In this role, you will be expected to do the following:
Analyze real-world data pertaining to Missile Defense and Space Domain Awareness
As part of an Agile Scrum team, develop and complete features and stories mapped to program objectives
Additional Duties Depending on the specific skills of the successful applicant, duties will include one or more of the following:
Collect and interpret real-world data
Develop new algorithms to effectively utilize the data
Actively update current algorithms based on new data
Desired Qualifications
Working or theoretical knowledge of ballistic or non-ballistic missile defense concepts, Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, defense communication systems, the Missile Defense System (MDS) in general, and Space Domain Awareness
Strong background in math and physics
Experience using MATLAB to support the analysis of complex data
Familiarity with Unix/Linux, Agile Scrum, and continuous integration
Specific knowledge of one or more MDS elements (e.g., C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, LRDR, BOA, SBIRS, GMB, Aegis BMD, and PATRIOT)
Experience with scenario generation is a plus
Must have an analysis background that covers a variety of disciplines that support filtering data for predicting future states of ballistic missile threats.
Technical Experience Required
Technical specialty areas may include, but are not limited to, performance analysis and characterization of large-scale complex system simulations, including ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command and control.
Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years experience, or bachelor’s with 9+ years experience or equivalent; applies extensive expertise; solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective
Erroneous decisions would normally result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives, may function in project leadership roles, and represent the organization as the prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts.
