What you'll do

Drive Innovation: Spearhead the development of innovative solutions to enhance digital experiences for Walmart associates through My Assistant platform.

Collaborative Leadership: Mentor, develop and guide a dynamic team of engineers from design, coding and implementation standpoint, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Architect and Design: Oversee and develop architectural design of the My Assistant platform to ensure it meets business needs and technical requirements.

Enhance Scalability: Develop scalable solutions that support the growing demands of the business and its associates.

Integration and Deployment: Ensure seamless integration across consumers and deployment of AI capabilities within the My Assistant platform.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.

What You'll Bring

Expertise in Node.js and asynchronous programming models.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Strong experience with RESTful API design and GraphQL (preferred).

Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Deep understanding of database systems, both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha), and version control (Git).

Understanding of security practices for web and API development (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting).

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP or AWS.

Proven experience in building distributed systems, solving complex problems, mentoring engineering teams, develop and support large-scale projects.

Strong background in architectural design and API development for production environment.

Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a focus on mentorship and technical acumen.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to complex challenges.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with other organizations across the business while managing customer expectations.
