With minimal supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, computer-generated reports, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Perform basic professional plumbing engineering work related to researching and inspecting proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, building, infrastructure, and usage; and installing plumbing, fire protection and suppression, and fluid flow systems to conform with applicable rules and permits. Assist with the development of technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to ensure proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems according to specifications; implement future-ready solutions with plumbing design standards. Write technical reports summarizing research and specifications, generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation using sketches, calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, technical drawings, and software. Assist technical staff and project managers with risk identification and assessment, offering input and analysis on design concepts, construction, mitigation and improvement activities. Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work. Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of site work and code compliance. Complete training on assigned tasks. Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, and building and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded projects. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline. 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience. Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and application to project work. Familiarity with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design. Highly familiar with relevant plumbing and mechanical system and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Analytical mindset with ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, effectively presenting ideas to engineering and non-engineering audiences. Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization in a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives. Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, mathematics, and spreadsheets. Experience with discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit). Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and harassment policies. Ability to work schedules that may extend beyond the typical workweek and occasional travel may be required depending on project needs. Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training Certification. Prior design experience. Member of and/or active participation in local professional practice organizations. About WSP
