We are currently seeking a Messaging and Collaboration Cloud Architect to join our team in Richmond, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade messaging and collaboration solutions using the Microsoft 365 platform. Key Responsibilities
Architect and oversee deployment of M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams (including Teams Voice), SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and Entra. Lead integration efforts across messaging infrastructure, including SMTP routing, DLP, encryption (Virtru), and mobile device management (Intune, Workspace One). Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for messaging and collaboration environments. Collaborate with service owners and stakeholders to define and enforce security policies using Microsoft Purview, Sensitivity Labels, and Records Management. Provide architectural oversight for M365 add-ins and integrated apps, ensuring compatibility and streamlined deployment across desktop and mobile platforms. Guide the implementation of Copilot for M365, including configuration, change management, and user enablement strategies. Maintain architectural documentation including AODs, RTMs, and technical response templates for compliance and audit readiness. Support service management processes including incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive health monitoring. Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with a focus on messaging and collaboration platforms. 5+ years experience in Microsoft 365 services and licensing models (G5 entitlements, Copilot, Purview, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune). 5+ years experience with hybrid cloud environments and directory synchronization (Azure AD Connect, GCDS). 2+ years experience with ServiceNow CMDB and configuration item tracking. 2+ years experience in PowerShell and scripting for data analysis and cloud tenant administration. 3+ years experience with mobile device management using ABM and ZT for both BYOD and company owned devices - Intune and Workspace One. 2+ years experience in M365 Information Rights Management Preferred Skills
Experience supporting public sector or regulated environments. Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions for M365 data. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC) and data governance. Work Location Remote with occasional on-site engagements. Contract Type Full-time; Duration aligned with project milestones and performance reviews. Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $87,952 – $195,450. NTT DATA is an equal opportunity employer.
