Join to apply for the BIM/Revit Model Coordinator role at HDR. HDR’s Building Engineering Services (BES) team provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings across the region and globally. HDR BES focuses on sustainable design and energy conservation. Primary Responsibilities
Create and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) Set up MEP Revit models at project initiation Maintain MEP discipline models: project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match lines, views, and sheets Create and maintain MEP discipline models, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for the MEP disciplines Generate BIM elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) in the BEP and project scope Execute all other requirements identified in the BEP Have an advanced understanding of architectural and engineering documentation and plan presentation for all disciplines Accurately model BIM elements in the correct environmental constraints using Revit Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams using Revit Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health; coordinate designs with other discipline models during design reviews and 3D coordination Work with clients or contractor representatives using the BIM model for review purposes Understand project needs and how technology can address them Prepare and deliver BIM presentations at meetings and conferences Contribute to the development of the BES digital needs Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of BIM, design phases, construction documents, and engineering concepts Experience in BIM production (building modeling or process piping modeling) Basic understanding of MEP disciplines and their interactions Navisworks and BIM360 experience preferred Local candidates preferred Strong understanding of engineering or architectural concepts Knowledge of industry standards, discipline codes, and specifications Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills Required Qualifications
Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience Minimum 5 years of digital design (BIM element authoring) experience Comprehensive understanding of discipline relations and building systems operations Advanced skills in 3D design software and document management Advanced skills in 3D coordination tools Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and communication tools Familiar with industry standards and discipline codes Experience with automation and programming concepts for efficiencies Experience with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications Content creation and management experience Strong client service, communication, and presentation skills Analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide technical support What We Believe
