The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, and database development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS Glue, writing SQL statements for Oracle, and working with Amazon Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL. Additionally, proficiency in Python is strongly preferred. This role will be responsible for maintaining and deploying scalable and efficient data pipelines, as well as maintaining and optimizing database reports and data structure. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. Write efficient and optimized SQL statements for Oracle, and Amazon Redshift. Support transition to Aurora PostgreSQL. Develop and maintain Java-based applications that interact with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and API Gateway. Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to design and implement data pipelines for use in data warehouses and data lakes. Optimize database queries and ensure data consistency and accuracy. Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, data transformation, and data reporting and analysis. Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions to meet those requirements. Ensure adherence to coding standards and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality. Stay up-to-date with new technologies, trends, and best practices in AWS, ETL, and database development. Qualifications
Required:
7+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on AWS, ETL, and database development Strong experience with AWS services, including Glue, Lambda, S3, and API Gateway AWS Glue experience should include creating and managing ETL jobs, data catalogs, and workflows Proficiency in writing SQL statements for Oracle, Amazon Redshift, and Aurora PostgreSQL Experience with ETL tools, such as AWS Glue Experience with data quality control, data validation, and data cleansing techniques Strong understanding of software development life cycles, especially the Agile Scrum methodology Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Desired:
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as Amazon Redshift Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles Proficiency in Python 3.x, including knowledge of its syntax and features Experience with popular Python libraries for data manipulation and analysis, such as Pandas and NumPy Knowledge of Python ETL libraries like Apache Beam, Apache NiFi, or PyETL Experience with Python reporting libraries like ReportLab, PyPDF2, or Jinja2 Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI Certification in AWS and Python is a plus Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) What You Can Expect

Pay range varies by location and other factors. The proposed salary range for this position is $98,500 - $206,800 per year. CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
