NOON/YARD DUTY SUPERVISORS & SUBSTITUTES Sites To Be Determined Hourly rate: $18.58 Student days only (191 days), 1.5 – 3.0 hours/day, days/times to be determined Responsibilities: Directs children during the access and egress of the school grounds; ensures their safety during the process. Directs and monitors a safe flow of traffic in and around the drop-off/pick-up zones. Maintains order in the zones for drop-off and pick-up before and after school. Safely directs vehicular traffic and pedestrians around any hazards. Reports behavioral problems to the principal. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or its equivalent. Must be able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Read, understand, and apply a variety of policies, rules, and regulations. Analyze situations and apply inductive and deductive reasoning. Ability to direct children in an effective and courteous manner. Act quickly and with mature judgment. Duties And Responsibilities: Assists certificated employees with preventive discipline for the purpose of explaining school rules to students and parents. Assists the administrators and staff in supervising and controlling student behavior. Assists in stopping student fights and other potentially dangerous situations for the purpose of maintaining a safe and orderly school campus environment. Completes necessary written reports for the purpose of maintaining an accurate record of events. Escorts students to the school administrator for the purpose of dealing with students who have serious or repeated violations of school and/or behavior conduct.
