Overview
Role: .NET Web Developer -III Location: Madison, WI - HYBRID (90-100% remote but can require staff to come onsite as necessary with sufficient notice) Duration: 12+ Month with Extension Interview: Teams/Video Responsibilities
Join an existing team working on projects including an Enterprise-wide migration to a unified authentication platform using Okta. Requires strong experience with OIDC and ability to implement secure authentication flows and project-sensitive APIs using access tokens; familiarity with identity and access management platforms such as Okta is preferred. Contribute to projects involving .NET MVC and .NET 8 web applications with some JavaScript, Blazor, and Kendo UI components. Modernize legacy mainframe applications to web applications using ASP.NET MVC with C#, WebAPI, n-tier architecture, and SQL Server. Design and develop both front-end and back-end components of web applications in collaboration with the team; participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and code reviews. Develop with JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with C#, and databases including SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle. Support the development of quality code using TDD, participate in code reviews, share expertise, maintain respectful communication, and produce technical documentation; provide production support as needed. Preference given to familiarity with automated testing methodologies and CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.). Familiarity with DCF programs and Wisconsin CARES system; knowledge of State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards is highly preferred; familiarity with DCF Child Care applications is a plus. Other projects may include DB2 mainframe experience, COBOL, and modernization of mainframe COBOL applications; experience with xPression is a plus; iOS/Objective-C/Swift experience; front-end UI design; modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js, Alpine.js, Blazor Server); Kendo UI; Crystal Reports or Telerik Reports; IIS; PowerShell; CI/CD and Azure DevOps Artifacts. Interview process via Zoom/Teams. Real-time screenshot photo must be uploaded to candidate’s bid upon confirming the interview (reference: “DCF Realtime Photo Requirement & Instructions”). Candidate must be physically located in the United States; international candidates or phone numbers will not be accepted. Candidate must follow all DCF work rules and be available to work CST hours (9:00 am – 3:00 pm CST or as defined by the hiring manager).
