We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in backend engineering, specializing in application deployment, automated continuous integration testing, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will ensure the visibility of key metrics to inform developers\' decision-making processes. Location: Remote or Local to Washington DC. Rate: $45 - $50 an hour. Note: This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following the contract duration. For W2 consultants, a benefits package is provided including Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications
Version Control:
Proficiency with version control systems like Git for collaborative development and managing codebase changes.
Terraform:
Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
CI/CD Pipelines:
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
Scripting & Automation:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, and PowerShell.
Linux & System Administration:
Strong understanding of file systems, process management, and performance tuning.
AWS Services:
Familiarity with core AWS services, including:
AWS Lambda for serverless functions
AWS S3 for storage
AWS API Gateway for creating RESTful APIs
AWS DynamoDB for NoSQL databases
AWS EC2 for virtual servers
AWS RDS for managed relational databases
AWS CloudFront for content delivery
AWS CloudWatch for application monitoring
Database Management:
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
Experience Requirements
Required Experience:
5 years of experience with AWS, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
Additional:
3 years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
Education & Certification
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Certifications:
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
