Overview
Supervisor Nursing SICU (Full Time Night) role at Veracity Software Inc. Location: Mission Viejo, California. Department: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift (3 nights, 12-hour shifts). Responsibilities
Serve as Charge Nurse/Supervisor on the night shift, managing workflow, staffing, and clinical operations. Provide direct patient care and clinical leadership in the SICU. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and leadership to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain compliance with ANA Nursing Administration standards and regulatory guidelines. Facilitate staff development, education, and performance evaluations. Monitor quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, policies, and documentation standards. Mentor and support nursing staff through coaching and feedback. Unit and Patient Care Context
The SICU is a 20-bed Critical Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma critical care management. It is part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level II Trauma Center, caring for complex patients including: Neuro/TBI/Stroke/spinal cord injuries Complex surgical cases Trauma patients Medical critical care patients Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) California Registered Nurse License (active upon hire) BLS Certification (American Heart Association – upon hire) One professional nursing certification relevant to the specialty (upon hire) Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in SICU or related specialty area Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN or equivalent) Previous leadership experience in critical care nursing Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated clinical expertise in neuro/trauma critical care Proven leadership and supervisory skills in an ICU environment Ability to manage complex patient care with strong decision-making and communication skills Committed to fostering teamwork and professional growth
