Overview
Unit 45 (Short Stay/Medicine/Telemetry) Part-Time Registered Nurse 2, 7:00PM-7:30AM, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, at GBMC HealthCare. Join to apply for the Unit 45 role at GBMC HealthCare. Responsibilities
Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients. Utilization of Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments appropriately and accurately. Initiates appropriate emergency procedures as necessary and coordinates patient care with other disciplines. Manages daily patient assignments, prioritizes care, and delegates duties to ancillary personnel as appropriate. Documents patient status and plan of care in the medical record and communicates with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. Provides patient teaching and participates in discharge planning and quality improvement activities. Participates in unit-level clinical monitoring and addresses patient, staff, and patient-care problems by taking action or referring as needed. May participate in RN 3 activities, serve as a charge RN if competent, and precept new staff. Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required. Licensures/Certifications: Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse; Healthcare Provider CPR (biennial); additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire. Experience: One-year Registered Nurse experience required. Skills: Proficiency in developing nursing plans of care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective planning and organizational abilities, analytical skills, and computer proficiency; ability to provide patient experience and service recovery. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $31.25 - $48.02 per hour. Final salary offers based on qualifications, education, experience, and organizational needs.
