Select Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time or PRN time physical therapist for our In-Home Physical Therapy Program in Connecticut. This unique opportunity deals with patients needing in-home physical therapy following total joint replacements. The caseload is 100% post-total joint replacement, and mileage is paid as part of the compensation package. The organization operates as an outpatient center, so documentation is less cumbersome than traditional Home Health. New grads are welcome. The physical therapist would serve the greater Danbury area. Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws governing practice and supervision. Complete and maintain all required corporate & clinical services training and comply with state/local/federal regulations. Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly. Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times. Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager. Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy. Valid State Physical Therapy License/Registration required to start. Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds dead weight. Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift. Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, monitor patient needs, and maintain accurate records. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to give directions. Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community. Fine motor skills for legible reporting and handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment. Location: Danbury area, Connecticut. Schedule: Monday through Friday. Employment type: Part-time or PRN.
