Physical Therapist - Total Joint Home Health (Part-time or PRN)
Select Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time or PRN physical therapist for our In-Home Physical Therapy Program in Connecticut. This role focuses on patients needing in-home physical therapy following total joint replacements. Mileage is paid as part of the compensation package.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; PRN and part-time options available. Compensation: hourly rate starting at $50/hr based on experience.
Location: Select PT Watertown, 76 Westbury Park Road, Watertown, Connecticut 06795-2779.
Join our experienced physical therapy team that delivers preventative and rehabilitative services to improve quality of life in the community. We operate in outpatient settings with streamlined documentation compared to traditional Home Health.
Notes: New graduates considered. This position serves Watertown area patients and includes mileage reimbursement.
Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to laws governing physical therapy practice and supervision requirements.
Complete and maintain all required corporate and clinical training; comply with state/local/federal regulations.
Evaluate, treat, and document physical therapy needs as medically necessary.
Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors.
Attend and participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.
Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
Valid State Physical Therapy License/Registration REQUIRED to start.
Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional early or late shifts to accommodate patients.
CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift patients and assist with transfer as needed; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach during the work day.
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, monitor patient needs and maintain records.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and community.
Fine motor skills for reporting and handling of equipment.
