Overview
Surgical Technologist, Menomonee Falls Surgery Center. Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our MENOMONEE FALLS SURGERY CENTER facility. This job is ON-SITE. FTE: 0.60. Shift: Shift 1. Eligible for Sign-on Bonus.
Highlights Flexible Scheduling. Join our newly renovated Ambulatory Surgery Center, including five operating rooms and a sterile processing department. Specialize in cutting-edge orthopedic (including pain management) and spine procedures while advancing your surgical technology career.
Responsibilities The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Maintains the sterile field and ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure. Performs related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, and quality performance.
Experience A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Surgical Technologist is required. Competent in role and able to independently perform duties related to surgical technology. Anticipates surgeons' needs and is acknowledged by staff as advanced in the field. Ability to first assist is preferred.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.
Licensure American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.
