Assistant Professor $1526.25 per credit Position Summary: Manhattan University seeks a part-time Adjunct Professor of Philosophy to teach courses such as Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics for the Spring 2025 semester. The ideal candidate should be skilled in teaching reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. We promote a global, pluralistic, and inclusive approach to the discipline and pedagogy. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Philosophy and/or Introduction to Ethics to undergraduate students across all levels and disciplines outside Philosophy. Creative critical pedagogy and writing across the curriculum, along with a commitment to equitable undergraduate liberal arts education, are highly valued. Minimum Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. (preferred) in Philosophy or a related field. Candidates with proven teaching excellence and a diverse canon will be preferred.
