This position supports Internal Medicine, Section of Digestive Diseases, with responsibilities across the operating budget, contracts, and shared service arrangements. This role will work directly with the Assistant Director, Finance and sectional leadership on the overall financial management of the section. This position may support various sections within Internal Medicine and is not limited to Digestive Disease. Salary Range $72,100.00 - $111,850.00 Required Skills and Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to address the needs of individuals at all levels throughout the University. Ability to create new and complex reports (Excel, Word, etc.) for tracking, analysis, and communication of financial information. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Intermediate knowledge of financial and economic concepts, modeling and analysis. Intermediate knowledge of budgeting and planning principles and processes. Ability to work independently, multitask, use good judgment, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

Thorough working knowledge of departmental financial reporting and analysis. Experience with Oracle applications and reporting tools. Knowledge of Yale University business, accounting and financial policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of University financial systems including Workday, Epic and YBT. Principal Responsibilities

Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Provide technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance; organize information from multiple sources for analysis of future plans and forecasts; collaborate with management to gather, analyze, summarize, prepare, and present recommendations; develop and/or execute complex financial models. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and synthesize information; design and create accurate and timely reports; ensure reporting meets compliance needs of internal and external users; extract and consolidate data from multiple sources. Financial Methods and Systems: Plan and improve practices, processes and systems; maintain strong internal and external relationships; ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial information and relationship management. Strategic Resource: Translate department finance goals into objectives; identify opportunities, risks, and solutions; engage stakeholders for design and implementation of changes. Compliance and Risk Management: Establish and maintain internal controls for effective resource use, accurate financial information, and adherence to contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements. Mentor, lead and/or supervise staff; perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated application of financial, accounting and economic concepts. Background Check Requirements
