Senior Consultant, Corporate and Commercial Banking Recruiter at JCW (347-293-1533) About the Company A growing commercial bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Underwriter to evaluate large commercial credit requests and prepare credit authorizations. This role will partner closely with account officers to ensure sound credit decisions and high-quality underwriting. About the Role Underwrite commercial & industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) loans, including collateral and financial analysis. Prepare Credit Authorization Memoranda (CAM) with detailed credit risk assessments and recommendations. Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, and business risks to determine creditworthiness. Assist with problem loan reports, exposure analysis, and other credit-related reviews as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of commercial loan underwriting experience, including complex credits (ABL, construction, participations, CRE). Strong knowledge of financial analysis, loan structuring, and regulatory guidelines. Experience with SBA and/or agri-business credits is a plus.
