Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars- all baked from scratch, on-site daily, using the freshest and finest ingredients. Our signature Celebration Cake is a birthday staple on tens of thousands of tables. The Decorations Manager leads the culinary operation in frosting, inscribing, and decorating of delicious cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods. They are charged with ensuring the highest quality baked goods are decorated in a timely manner by means of training, supporting overall safety, and developing the culinary team through the specialization of decorations management. LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES Creates a fun, lively and celebratory environment Possesses and demonstrates a “One team, One goal” philosophy Works in an organized, deliberate, and fast-paced manner RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads the teams by motivating, training, and developing the culinary team members in decorations skills; decoration, finishing and inscribing on a variety of products; including but not limited to cakes, cupcakes, and frosted sugar cookies Assign daily decorations needs to team members and ensure their completion Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree in Culinary, Baking or Pastry Arts preferred 2 years of leadership experience in a team environment Ability to work in multiple regional locations Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead Able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 75 pounds Must be able to taste product for quality assurance (e.g., buttercream, cake, cupcakes, batter, cookie dough, and other recipes as assigned) CERTIFICATIONS ServSafe Manager/Food Handler Certification BENEFITS & PERKS Predictable schedule - Day shifts Free non-slip shoes (annually) Birthday month PTO with complimentary cake Company holidays off (Thanksgiving, December 25–27, and New Year’s Day) Medical, dental, vision insurance Vacation, 401k, FSA Paid Sick Time Referral Program Pet rescue reimbursement and pet insurance Flexible return to work schedule for maternity leave Generous 50% discount on desserts We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
