Middle School Assistant Boys Soccer Coach (Lincoln Middle)

PURPOSE OF JOB : Provide instruction, leadership, and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Assist with practices by emphasizing teamwork, skill development, learning rules and strategies, and student-athlete improvement. Assist with academic monitoring alongside teachers, counselors, and other academic support staff. Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests, including in locker rooms, on buses, and at all other times. The assistant coach must be present at all practices and games until all student-athletes have left. Ensure proper care of equipment and inventory being used. Complete all required paperwork, including rosters, physicals, insurance forms, and parent consent forms. Coordinate transportation, facilities, officials, and game management information. Maintain ethical conduct during practices and contests, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship. Assist in the coordination of the program. Promote student-athletes' accomplishments both academically and athletically. Engage in professional growth through clinics and publications. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Student-athletes MINIMUM QUALIFICATION : Must possess a Teachers Certificate, valid Substitute Certificate, or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Be a full or part-time employee within the District. Be employed as a teacher or administrator in the school applying for the position.
