Ability to teach students at all levels in an academic environment.
Knowledge of pathology and laboratory medicine in various clinical, teaching, and research settings.
Interest and ability in scholarly activity, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and investigative experience.
Required License/Certification
American Board of Clinical Chemistry (ABCC) certification/eligibility in Clinical Chemistry or American Board of Pathology (ABP) Certification in Clinical Pathology, preferably with subspecialization in Clinical Chemistry.
Licensed in Kentucky as required for providers.
Job Summary The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks an experienced clinical chemist for directorship of a ComACC-accredited Clinical Chemistry post-doctoral Fellowship and other leadership roles. Candidates should have a PhD or MD/DO, board certification or eligibility by ABCC or ABP. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching, and research. The position is open rank and available immediately until filled.
Responsibilities include oversight of clinical chemistry laboratories, teaching pathology residents and fellows, and engaging in research. The team is part of an integrated department with programs in anatomic and clinical pathology, and research affiliations with the Markey Cancer Center. For application details, visit

Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and clients.
Knowledge of laboratory test interpretation, stewardship, and point of care testing.
