Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Pathology

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a Pathology Residency Program Director. The successful candidate would join an academic hospital-based practice and engage primarily in clinical service and serve as the residency program director. Job Requirements: M.D./D.O. or equivalent degree. Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Licensed in Kentucky. A minimum of 3 years of post-residency pathology experience. Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment. Knowledge of pathology and laboratory medicine practices. Demonstrated interest and ability in scholarly activity evidenced by peer review publications and investigative experience. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to relate and communicate with internal and external faculty, staff, and other clients of this department. Fellowship training or comparable experience in an area of anatomic pathology. The department is an integrated department of pathology with successful programs in anatomic and clinical pathology, a vibrant educational program for medical students, residents and fellows as well as a nationally-recognized research program in neuropathology and research affiliations with the Markey Cancer Center.
