Overview
This position serves as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Randleman Finance Department and supervises two employees. The Finance Director reports to the City Manager and works collaboratively with other departments including Police, Fire, City Clerk, Parks and Recreation, Library, Waste Water Treatment Plant, and Public Works. The Assistant Finance Director will be responsible for purchasing, supervision, bank reconciliations, contract management and review, government surplus, payroll, and serving as a backup to utility billing and accounts payable. The City of Randleman has approximately 90 FTEs with an annual operating budget totaling $12,595,906 (General Fund $9,735,860; Water and Sewer Fund $2,860,046) for FY 2026. Responsibilities
Purchasing supervision and related processes Bank reconciliations Contract management and review Government surplus management Payroll processing and administration Serving as a backup to utility billing and accounts payable Supervising two employees Collaborating with other departments (Police, Fire, City Clerk, Parks and Recreation, Library, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Public Works) Qualifications
Preferred: At least an associate's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or related field Experience in accounting and finance in public or private sector No residency requirement; position is not hybrid or remote Strong interpersonal communication skills; team player; well-versed in GAAP and Microsoft Office Suite Benefits
