$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Addison Group We're looking for a Payroll & HRIS Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll process and support the company’s HR information systems. This individual will serve as a key resource in ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution, data integrity, and compliance with payroll-related laws and standards. This role collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to support smooth operations while safeguarding sensitive data. Key Responsibilities: Administer weekly payroll cycles for both salaried and hourly employees across all divisions. Accurately calculate and process earnings, including overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits. Handle payroll tax responsibilities and ensure timely filing of payments and reports. Reconcile contributions and deductions for retirement plans and health savings accounts. Approve and process updates such as wage adjustments, tax withholdings, and employee data changes. Maintain digital personnel files and keep payroll data organized and up to date. Assist with the rollout of employee incentive and bonus programs. Keep the HRIS platform current and ensure proper integration with payroll systems. Produce and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports for internal use. Lead periodic payroll reviews to ensure compliance and identify process improvements. Prepare relevant documents for tax reporting and year-end statements. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to pay and respond to employee payroll questions. Set up and maintain benefit deductions, garnishments, and other adjustments. Troubleshoot system issues and work with external providers on resolutions. Ensure adherence to all applicable payroll regulations at the federal, state, and local level. Stay current on evolving payroll regulations, technologies, and industry trends. Take on additional duties as needed to support the HR and Finance teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a similar discipline. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in payroll and HRIS functions. Professional payroll certification (e.g., CPP) is a strong advantage. Solid understanding of processing payroll across multiple states. Familiarity with benefit plans and how deductions are handled in payroll systems. In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications; experience with HR/payroll software platforms. Detail-oriented with strong data analysis and reconciliation skills. Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
