Overview

The Ohio State University Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant Professor to join a dynamic research team focused on advancing cancer science, with emphasis on the kidney cancer microenvironment. This non-tenure track position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, collaborate with leading scientists, and play a key role in laboratory operations and scientific discovery. Responsibilities

Participate in departmental and institutional service, including committee work and strategic initiatives. Contribute to graduate and medical education through teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development. Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research program in tobacco research. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center – James, including basic scientists, clinicians, and translational researchers. Requirements

PhD or MD/PhD required; considerable post-doctoral experience in basic research; substantial experience in oncology. Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in peer-reviewed journals; understanding of grant writing and obtaining funding; experience with administration of funded research.
