Position: Controller - Construction Sub Contractor Company Overview: Our clientis a leading construction sub contractor company based in Woburn, MA. Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our clients team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of their construction sub contracting business. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and making recommendations for improvements Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and external stakeholders Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely project cost tracking and reporting Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives Manage the company's tax compliance and reporting requirements Oversee the preparation and submission of all required financial filings and reports Lead and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to support their growth and development Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies in financial processes and systems Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation is preferred Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar financial management role, preferably in the construction industry Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software Knowledge of construction accounting software, such as Sage 300 and Procore They offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our company.
