You’ll lead strategic projects that improve Notion’s core user experience, working with cross-functional partners to develop a product and technical vision, and drive execution to deliver high-quality features. You’ll build and maintain foundational pieces of Notion’s building blocks, enabling a wide array of use cases (docs, wikis, issue tracking, project management, and more). You’ll contribute to the overall performance, reliability, and robustness of the Notion product, ensuring it scales across dimensions. You’ll partner with engineering leaders to identify and execute high-leverage technical investments for long-term flexibility and sustainability of core systems. Requirements / Qualifications
7+ years of engineering experience, including years building world-class product experiences with a team of engineers. Tech leadership experience: ability to make key technical decisions, guide complex projects, and mentor junior teammates. Shipping quality user interfaces: collaborate with product and design to craft experiences for large audiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern UI framework (e.g., React). Team collaboration: ability to work with engineers and cross-functional partners; commitment to growth of self and teammates. Thoughtful problem-solving: clear understanding of context, critical thinking, navigating ambiguity, and balancing business impact. Not ideological about technology: comfortable with tradeoffs and learning new technologies as needed. Empathetic communication: clear written and verbal communication; constructive collaboration in disagreements. Nice To Haves
Proficiency with our tech stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres. Interest in computing pioneers and their work; comfort with interdisciplinary interests outside of technology. About Notion & Equal Opportunity
