Overview
Assistant Professor, History – Rollins College. The Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in non-Western history beginning August 2026. The area of interest is open, but may include Latin America, Asia, or Africa and may not include Europe or the US. Preference will be given to candidates with more than one geographic specialty and a wide temporal range. The teaching load is 3:3.

Responsibilities (Implied)
Teach a 3:3 load in history at the undergraduate level, including courses in non-Western world histories as appropriate to the candidate’s areas of expertise.
Engage in ongoing scholarly activity leading to publication and conference presentations.
Participate in departmental service, advising, and curriculum development as needed.
Qualifications
PhD in History or anticipated conferral by August 1, 2026.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, preferably in the liberal arts.
Verifiable teaching experience.
Preference given to candidates with more than one area of geographic specialty.
