You will perform actuarial analysis on projects, support the Financial Analysis and other departments, develop and design reports, create and maintain databases to support business requirements, and continually improve data acquisition and reporting methods. Your Contributions To The Team

Actuarial Analysis Support (primary focus 95% of the time). Prepare, analyze and report the monthly Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserve estimate. Prepare the semi-annual Chronic Illness & Disability Payment System (CDPS) risk score and analyze the financial impact for the risk score adjusted capitation rate. Prepare the annual rate development template/bid for all lines of business. Generate and analyze monthly enrollment, claims and utilization reports. Support Accounting by preparing reports related to claims data and/or reserve estimation for internal and external auditors. Design reports from the data warehouse and ensure data integrity. Analyze and assist in making recommendations on monthly IBNR reserve estimates and certain major policy issues. Cross-train as backup for various departmental functions and support ad-hoc analyses. Other duties as assigned (5%). Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, business administration, finance, economics, mathematics or related field plus 2 years of actuarial experience; equivalent education/experience may qualify. 2 actuarial exams with passing scores required. Master's degree in actuarial science, business administration, finance, economics, mathematics or related field is a plus. Experience with managed health care programs and financial modeling is a plus. Knowledge, Abilities & Skills

Develop rapport and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, staff and external contacts at all levels. Work independently with sound judgment; communicate clearly in writing and verbally. Flexible schedule; available for evening and weekend events. Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate internally and externally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and job-specific applications; ability to create charts, spreadsheets and reports. Physical Requirements

Visual, auditory and manual dexterity capabilities appropriate for computer use, communication and office tasks. Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds as needed. Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation; current hiring range: Pay Grade 312 - $84,092 - $134,548.
