Overview
LHH is working with a financial services company in the Dallas area that is adding new headcount to their team due to growth. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for producing financial reports and other deliverables for private equity and alternative investment clients. This role involves preparing and reviewing capital call templates, distributions, financial statements, partner capital account statements, and other ad-hoc client reporting. The accountant will also handle the booking, review, preparation, and reconciliation of cash transactions, accrual entries, management fees, and other accounting activities in line with client requirements. Strong communication with clients regarding timelines and expectations is essential, along with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs. Job Responsibilities
Prepare and review capital call templates, distributions, financial statements, and partner capital account statements. Generate other ad-hoc reports as needed by clients. Book, review, prepare, and reconcile cash transactions, accruals, management fees, and other accounting entries. Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and timelines. Adjust priorities based on firm and client needs. Job Requirements
1-5 years of prior experience in private equity or alternative asset fund accounting. Graduate or post-graduate degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA candidacy or certification is encouraged. Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable working in a small company environment with a variety of tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of VBA is a plus, but not required. Experience with FIS Investran is a significant advantage. QuickBooks experience is also beneficial.
