Overview LHH is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for a valued client. This full-time, exempt position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy and fulfillment of all accounting functions and procedures within the department. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting adherence to GAAP and GAAS, developing and implementing strong internal controls, and streamlining processes for optimum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist with all aspects of monthly and year-end close procedures.
Support the creation and implementation of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Analyze and review financial information for audit and reporting purposes.
Prepare non-cash journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with financial tasks and reporting for the Controller, Accounting Clerks, Grants Accountant, and administrative staff.
Supervise Accounting Clerks and provide payroll backup as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in non-profit and/or cost accounting preferred.
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Details
Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week), with occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, LTD, retirement, and more.
Salary range: $70,000–$85,000/year, depending on experience.
