We are currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager who will be responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy, overseeing a team of underwriters and associate underwriters who promote sales of various P&C products through the independent agency system. This position will be hybrid in our Glen Allen, VA office or opportunity for remote within our territory.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include managing underwriting activities to achieve profitable growth, directing and developing a team of underwriters and associate underwriters, and ensuring adherence to company policy while supporting independent agency sales goals.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Required: Relevant underwriting management experience
Preferred: Industry designations are preferred
Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $128,396-$197,729 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
